Return of the Jedi is my favourite Star Wars movie, strictly for nostalgic reasons. I was 2 and 5 when episodes VI and V were released, so Jedi was the first time I was old enough to really get into the hype of a Star Wars movie being released in theatres and I was able to see it 4 times while in theatres. Say what you will about Ewoks, but the opening rescue scene at Jabba’s place on Tatooine is unbeatable. But enough about me.
This marks the end of the second run through the entire Star Wars series and given how much MJ now knows about the Star Wars universe she had a lot to say throughout the movie, some of which I was able to capture:
”For a princess she’s really smart”
“The good guys are after the bad guys and the bad guys are after the good guys”
MJ: “Where’ss Luke?”
ME: “He’s gone to the Death Star to meet the Emperor”
MJ: “Dummy”
“Blah blah blah get on with it” (MJ is not a fan of the space battles)
“There’s Ewoks everywhere … Hahahahaha”
“R2 got fried”
