Okkervil Newman
Two of my favourites collide as Okkervil River are joined by A.C. Newman to perform the great new song “Wake and Be Fine” (from the upcoming album I Am Very Far) on the Jimmy Fallon show. The Roots also join in the all-star fun. Video found at Pitchfork.
She & Him
Also on Pitchfork watch She & Him’s stylish video for “Don’t Look Back” off of the Volume 2 album. I can watch Zooey dance around all day. M. Ward too, for that matter.
Kathryn Calder
Speaking of the total package, Kathryn Calder has a new video for the song “Arrow” (from the Are You My Mother? album). Very cool animation. Watch it at Magnet.
Christian Kane
Christian Kane played a lawyer / villain on Joss Whedon’s “Angel” (and has done a lot of stuff since) and also plays music. Last.fm has a solo acoustic performance worth watching.
Superchunk
Lastly, but certainly not leastly, Superchunk was on the Sound Opinions show and the podcast is available today. I have not listened yet, but plan to when I go out to try and chip 6 inches of ice off of my driveway tomorrow.
